Heh, yea I don't really like the fact that the throttle in my car is driven by a motor, seems silly to have it like that, when the computer doesn't really do anything special with the throttle (like rev match on shifting, and such). I don't even think it uses the throttle for traction control, I think it just cuts fuel? Now if the computer did something fun like have the option to rev match on down shifts, that might be fun sometimes (though it's probalby more fun to do it yourself!), but as it is with nothing like that, it seems kinda silly.

If my throttle ever stuck though, I'd probably just push in the clutch and kill the motor. THen pop the hood and see if tapping it makes it go back so that I could limp home. Might take a few seconds for me to react and actually kill the motor, but with a rev limiter it's probably just fine for a few seconds Would sounds pretty horrible, but I imagine it would really hurt anything for a short period of time?
