Not unless he consistently runs 8.5's all day.

but seriously, the summit series is no joke. On occasion they will let you test and tune.
Last summer the had the summit series on sundays and they let alexis run and do the t&t.

It's only "gay" if you only care about yourself and don't support the homies. Not all of us will be out in the first round, and it will be exciting to see who makes it the farthest. We can all hang out in the pits and make a day of it. This series is a great warmup if you're thinking about racing Mustang Maddness at Fontana. So who's still in for this?
2-3? Ive never gotten less than 5. Just stick around and around 8 or 9 at night it starts flowin.....

Hmmm... the bracket part led me to believe that there was an index class for cars that weren't super duper fast. I'll have to do a lil more research on the exact indexes and ET requirements.

Speed has nothing to do with it. But the guys that race those classes have their cars SOOOOO dialed in, you racing anything less than a purpose built bracket car is a waste of time IMO. Not sure if they allow electronics in Summit series, but if they do, that's even more of a reason to sit at home and wrench one off to Kelly on the "Saved by the Bell" re-runs on Sunday afternoons....

exactly. a honda del sole with a stock motor can win . Its moreso about consistency than being the fastest

Enjoy blowing your whole day to get eliminated on your first pass and sitting under the blazing hot summer sun all day. I'd rather do street legals at Fontana. And if you knew how much I hated those, you'd realize that's saying a lot!

Gotta start somewhere. If there was a more "minor league" venue available on Sundays, i'd be signing up there instead.

gotta start somewhere? You start from the ground up. Work your way up til yuo can keep getting consistent times and then you go with the big dawgs.
Stop being an ignorant asshole and listen to us.

You're starting to portray the armenian version of Jaime.

Didn't think this needed more elaboration.

If you do go thru with it Ren, talk to as many drivers as you can and milk them for every helpful tid bit of advise as you can get! Sure you can always do that during the regular thurs night tnt, but you'll have a crap load of other guys probably trying to do the same thing, then half to "time" your runs so that they don't interfere with someone you're trying to talk to for info, make your way thru the racers and ricers, etc. At least being at a bracket event, the whole place will be chalk-full of real racers and you'll have plenty of time between rounds to talk to people....granted that theyre not doing any major tweaks/adjustments to their rides.

That is a major part of why i am going. i guess some people don't know (or care )that I will also be racing in Mustang Maddness- also a bracket class. Nothing wrong with getting some seat time in whenever i can. As for being laughed at? I doubt it, but a funny things happens once you hit thirty. You stop giving a shit about what other people think. Now, obviously since i chose to post my intentions on a public forum, all opinions are welcomed. They just won't have very much sway over what i ultimately decide to do.
