Anyone know cost to replace rear main seal on a 92 fox? (not mine)
Basically same price as it is for a clutch job (that's what I charge at least).

On a fox about 3 labor units if the exhaust is clamped, if it is all ghetto-welded together, add another hour or two.

stay away from salvage title cars, the resale on them is 50% of fair condition private party blue book.

I know you don't think you'll be selling the car anytime soon, but they're also 90% harder to sell than a clean title car, I know personally I'd never buy one.

Last April the site crashed and took everything with it! Everyone had to resign up, which is why your old SN didn't work.

Yup, your alleged previous 3 stangs were also lost in the database crash. So you're back to square one if they're not physically in your possession.

that's mine after I pulled it from the donor.

the crank on mine is a 6 bolt crank, I used a `93 donor, the later model mark8's may be the same as cobra's and have 8 bolt cranks.

in terms of power, there's really no difference once you put the cobra exhaust and intake manifolds onto it.

Mine pulls great up to my 7200rpm rev limit.

there's absolutely no reason to think of the motor in that car as a paperweight that needs to be rebuilt.
yup mark8's used aluminum blocks...i dont think they are teksids only the explorers had those

so you wanna pay 3500 for a car that is in ok shape and engine is questionable....and has a bad windsheild and flywheel....i would say PASS.

trust me it's a teksid, my block has the correct marking in the intake valley. It's the same block 96-98 cobra's used.
